The Story Behind the Richmond Panorama
This stunning panorama was captured on a beautiful fall evening in October 2022, during a pivotal moment in my life. I had been working part-time at a job I didn’t enjoy, feeling the weight of un-fulfillment. On assignment for Virginia Business Magazine, I asked a friend to help me at the James River, keeping an eye on a still camera that was programmed to capture the cityscape for the next month's centerfold. As I flew my drone to photograph the sunset, the scene that unfolded before me became unforgettable. The sky was ablaze with color, and as the sun set on the left, the moon rose on the right, completing a breathtaking moment.
This photo marks a turning point for me, a reminder of my love for photography and my desire to share the beauty of Creation. I hope that when people view this image, they feel a sense of awe, noticing the city's vibrance at the center, the James River gracefully encircling it, and the stunning harmony between the sunset and moonrise. There is so much to behold and be inspired by in the world around us.
